Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency has an opening for an RN- Labor and Delivery. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 9/29/2024
8 weeks | Nights | 12-hour shift | 36 hours guaranteed weekly

- Collaborates with the health care team using evidence-based practice, demonstrating accountability, and respect for patients, families, and coworkers, while providing safe and optimal patient outcomes.
- Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and family as appropriate.
- Directs the work of the support staff in the provision of care.
- Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
- Able to work with age-specific populations according to the setting.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience Required
- Previous RN experience in Labor & Delivery Preferred
Education:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
- Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after the hire date.
- Current ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications. (New employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy.)
EMR System: Meditech experience preferred
Shift: Nightshift; 7p-7a
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- A high degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward others.
- Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Technical and critical thinking skills about sound nursing judgment.
