Job Title: IBM iSeries (AS/400)SME

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ 07405:: Onsite - Hybrid/weekly Basis

Job Description:

An IBM iSeries SME (Subject Matter Expert) is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across enterprise environments.

• System Engineering & Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM iSeries hardware and OS.
  • Apply system updates including PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes), CUMs (Cumulative Updates), and IPLs (Initial Program Loads).
  • Monitor and tune system performance.
  • Manage virtualization through PowerVM.
• Job Scheduling & Automation:
  • Implement IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) for batch job automation.
  • Design job flows with dependencies, error handling, and runtime parameters.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Conduct system audits.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and disaster recovery standards.
• Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide L3/L4 support for iSeries environments.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
