ICU Nurse Manager

  • The ideal candidate is an RN with an ICU background with leadership experience
  • We are looking for a strong leader this department has an excellent culture and they would love to trial some new projects and initiatives with the team once leadership is settled. The unit also has an active unit based council that does a lot of projects.
  • Reporting to the Director of Critical Care, the manager has 5 supervisors, a Nurse Educator and a CNS.

Unit Info

  • our unit believes in a focused-driven approach to patient care with flexibility and resilience to everything else
  • We are a 20 bed MICU who has the capability to flex between ICU and IMCU. Many other hospitals would consider our IMCU patients ICU patients.
  • We pride ourselves on providing our nurses with a structured onboarding that includes self-pacedmodules, classroom, one-on-one and clinical, handson orientation. We follow our orientees closely throughout their orientation and collaborate with you and the preceptor to tailor everyones orientation to their unique needs.
  • Common Diagnoses include Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, COVID, Renal Failure, Congestive Heart Failure, GI Bleed, ETOH Withdrawal and DKA
  • Behavioral Health
