Position Summary: The Identity Governance Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organizations identity governance framework. This role leads the access certification processes, ensuring compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements related to identity and access management (IAM) across all applications and systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models, aligning user roles and access rights with organizational policies, ensuring adherence to Segregation of Duties (SoD) and Least Privilege principles.
  • Coordinate and administer centralized access recertification campaigns to validate user privileges, ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Establish and standardize RBAC user lifecycle processes, including account provisioning, de-provisioning, and rights amendment, enabling prompt and precise access management.
  • Draft and update documentation delineating RBAC access management procedures and process workflows, serving as a definitive guide for governance and training purposes.
  • Automate IAM tasks utilizing existing tools and technologies, focusing on enhancing system efficiency, reliability, and security posture.
  • Enforce operational risk management controls in line with established standards, policies, and compliance mandates, including CCPA, NIST, SOX, etc.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify and implement IAM solutions that support business initiatives and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and report on IAM metrics, KPIs, and OKRs, providing insights into the effectiveness of identity governance controls and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in identity governance technologies and methodologies, advocating for best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Act as an expert advisor and point of contact for identity governance inquiries, providing guidance and support across the organization.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and issues related to identity governance, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in identity governance projects, including the implementation of new tools and integration of IAM functions with other IT systems.
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs to promote understanding and compliance with identity governance policies and procedures.
  • Develop and oversee Privileged Access Management (PAM) processes within the RBAC framework, continually refining processes to enhance security and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain the integrity of identity governance data sources, ensuring data cleanliness, and accuracy in relation to uncorrelated accounts, entitlements, and role descriptions.
  • Manage the Access Request Management system, ensuring a streamlined process for users to request and receive appropriate access rights efficiently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information security, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in identity governance, access management, and related compliance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations, cybersecurity principles, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without dropping the ball.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a roll up your sleeves and win every day mentality.
  • Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:

  • Certifications in identity management and security, such as CISM, CISSP, or similar, are highly desirable.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10% domestic travel required.

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:

  • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
