In Home Care Provider - up to 36hrs|wk - Dementia Experience Preferred Apply
This role requires a caring and dedicated individual who is passionate about providing quality care to adults in their own home. Schedule for this position includes weekday morning or afternoons. Flexible Scheduling. Applicants with experience working with dementia, older adults, and/or caring for parents, grandparents, or other family members would be a great fit for this position.
Duties:
- Provide in-home care and support to individuals in their own homes.
- Helps with tasks such as light cleaning, companionship, showering, and dressing.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the individual
- Respect and uphold the rights of the individual, ensuring their privacy and dignity
- Assist with personal cares as needed
Skills:
- Knowledge of dementia
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the individual's privacy
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
