Eagle Valley Childrens Home is a non-profit organization that provides residential and respite care for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. We are looking for compassionate and reliable respite workers who can provide short-term care for our residents in their homes or in the community.

We are looking for individuals with weekend & evening availability! This would be a great part-time job or for someone going to school!

As a respite worker, you will:

• Provide personal care, supervision, and companionship to children and young adults with special needs
• Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting and other needs as outlined
• Engage in recreational and educational activities that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of the clients
• Follow the individualized care plans and safety protocols for each client
• Communicate effectively with the clients, their families, and the Eagle Valley staff
• Maintain accurate and timely records of the services provided

To be eligible for this position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have weekend and evening availability
• Get flu shot during flu season
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have a valid Nevada drivers license in good standing and reliable transportation
• Pass a background check and drug screening, including marijuana
• Be willing to attending trainings and various meetings with the Respite Coordinator to expand knowledge and skill set
• Have experience working with children or adults with special needs is great but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidates.

- $17.52/hr. to start

- $18.05/hr. after successful 6 month review

- $18.96/hr. after successful 18 month review

- Drive time and mileage compensated
