Job Title: Inbound Drayage Management Coordinator/Inbound Logistics Coordinator

Contract Period: 12 Months
Work Location: 55 Challenger Rd, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660
Work Hours: 08:30 AM 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the drayage process for shipment movements, including:
    • Receiving Arrival Notices and ISF information before port arrival of vessels.
    • Creating and sending delivery/work orders.
    • Managing empty container returns.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with selected drayage carriers, ensuring urgent communication during emergencies.
  • Identify alternative drayage carriers in case of capacity shortages.
  • Share daily container delivery schedules with drayage carriers.
  • Analyze, create, edit, track, and trace logistics service providers (LSPs), including drayage carriers, rail companies, and terminals.
  • Oversee and enhance customer service metrics such as on-time delivery, lead times, and responsiveness to quotes.
  • Develop solutions for using pre-pull yards effectively and on time.
  • Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for drayage deliveries.
  • Check delivery statuses and share updates with customers.
  • Document corrective actions and improvement plans, ensuring verification of their effectiveness.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree preferred; GED accepted.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of international transportation (especially ocean shipping) and the freight forwarding industry.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven project and people management expertise.
  • Experience establishing transport plans optimizing load rates, transit times, and logistics costs.
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset with creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and shifting focus to urgent issues while maintaining progress on other tasks.

Technical Proficiency:

Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and other related applications.
