Independent Contractor Remote Bookkeeper Apply

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has good communication skills, and can effectively manage their workload. We need someone who takes initiative, cares about quality, and can meet deadlines consistently.
THE POSITION:
- Entering in bank and credit card transactions - Perform balance sheet reconciliations - Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Accounts receivable, accounts, payable, payroll, processing, and sales tax if applicable to clients that we have
- Understand and apply financial concepts - Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks
- Monthly & yearly closeout process for assigned accounts
- Preparation of 1099s at your end if needed
- Execute clean up jobs that are brought on
- Execute high-level bookkeeping entries and time-sensitive tasks
- Analyze client financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and increased profitability
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper handling multiple clients
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online (QB desktop a plus)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and ability to catch mistakes
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Timeliness and ability to meet deadlines consistently
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Must have availability to block out specific days/times each week to get client work done to ensure deliverables are timely (this can be based off your schedule)
Minimum of 3 years experience bookkeeping including a comprehensive understanding of debits and credits, the balance sheet, and the income statement
Personal laptop/computer with webcam and reliable, secure internet connection
