We are partnered with a cutting-edge indoor agriculture company pioneering advanced vertical farming technology to grow premium fruit year-round, without pesticides. Their engineering team drives innovation through automation and robotics, delivering scalable, reliable solutions for next-generation farms.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design, development, and commissioning of automation and robotics systems, including PLCs, HMIs, motion control, and safety systems.
- Program and optimize robotic operations and control logic (Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Yaskawa/Fanuc/KUKA).
- Design, model, and prototype automation systems using 2D/3D CAD; support integration with SCADA and data acquisition tools.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Plant Science teams to define system requirements.
- Manage vendors and integrators, oversee testing, and troubleshoot systems onsite as needed.
- Lead small teams and mentor engineers, providing guidance and performance support.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or Robotics Engineering.
- 3+ years in industrial automation, and system integration.
- Strong PLC/HMI skills (Allen-Bradley required), motion control, pneumatics, SCADA, and industrial networking.
- Hands-on experience with robot end effector design, CAD, prototyping, and electrical schematics.
- Proficient in Python or C++.
