Industrial Controls Technician Apply
Jacuzzi Group is looking for an adept Industrial Controls Technician to enhance our manufacturing operations at our Valdosta facility. This role is critical in maintaining and troubleshooting PLC and control systems for various production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the company PLCs (Siemens S7-1200, and S7-1500. Allen Bradley SLC500, and ControlLogix.)
- Program and modify PLCs, Fanuc and Kuka Robots, HMIs, and other control systems to meet operational requirements.
- Create, update, and install control systems for various manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks, inspections, and updates to control systems.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new control systems for production processes.
- Must be skilled in Industrial Robotics programming and troubleshooting.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to quickly address equipment issues.
- Work with electrical schematics and diagrams to diagnose and repair control systems.
- Maintain documentation of all maintenance and repairs, including updates to specifications.
- Ability to fabricate small parts from scratch or prints.
- Support training initiatives for operational staff on control systems and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
**Compensation- $30/hr+
Requirements
- Associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial controls or automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Code.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Highly self-motivated and takes initiative with a “hands-on” approach.
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on cross-departmental collaboration.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as required.
