As an Industrial Designer II, you'll bring creativity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful problem‑solving to our New Product Development team. If you thrive at the intersection of form, function, user experience, and engineering, this role gives you the opportunity to influence products from early sketch to prototype to production. What You'll Do As an Industrial Designer II, you'll lead design exploration, develop concepts, and bring product ideas to life through research, modeling, and collaboration. Your day-to-day will include: Develop conceptual exploration through sketches, rough foam models, renderings, and CAD models. Assist on prototyping projects to ensure quality and on time delivery is met. Facilitate project team meetings to present new product concepts. Maintain close communication with Engineering & Marketing teams throughout stage gate process to ensure design intent is followed through. Assist in coordinating end-user research to identify new opportunities, and validate new product concepts. Support Entry Level Designers through all phases of product development processes. Design and innovate new products and make design changes to existing products and packaging. Develop skills to effectively manage Industrial Design projects. Professionally communicate and present new designs to Marketing and Engineering on the design and functionality of products. Advanced use of industrial design software to design products and to ensure internal components work together and fit properly. Build detailed prototypes for sales meetings, market research and consumer testing. Determine suitability and cost effectiveness of materials and processes used to manufacture products. Consult with other Engineering employees in solving mechanical and molding issues. Create and develop concepts and specifications that optimize the function, value, and appearance of products for mutual benefits of both user and manufacturer. Assist in training and development of other Industrial Designers in core skill sets. Travels as necessary to fulfill requirements of the position. Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design with 4-6 years of industry related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical abilities. Strong team player with a positive attitude that sets an example for other team members. Demonstrate proficiency with Rhino or similar design-based software. Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and KeyShot software. Excellent organizational skills. Advanced knowledge and application of good design for manufacturing principles. Highly effective multitasker, that can work well on their own, or in a team capacity.
