As an Industrial Designer you will use Autodesk AutoCAD software to create technical drawings and schematics of different types of industrial systems (mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, etc). The industrial designer must ensure that the drawings they create are precise, detailed and meeting industry standards. Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) General: Develop technical drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and refine designs. Revise and update existing drawings as necessary. Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements. Maintain organized records of design documents and revisions. Work independently to complete assigned tasks while meeting deadlines. Requirements: Proficiency with the Autodesk AutoCAD software. Degree in drafting or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in design or drafting. Strong understanding of industrial construction and design principles. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity and ability to research applicable codes and engineering principles. Ability to clearly communicate the design and confirm specifications are achieved by bother internal and external stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NEC, IEC, and NFPA (preferred). Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally in oral and written communication. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with varied scope and complexity. Ability to think creatively and alternatively to develop creative ideas and solutions to work-related problems. A “role up your sleeves” attitude, willing to help wherever needed.
