Responsible for installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical equipment and systems in industrial or manufacturing settings. This includes working with high-voltage systems, PLCs, motors, controls, and automated machinery to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, motors, controls, and automation systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs using test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.

• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure continued operation.

• Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other control systems.

• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).

• Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and production staff to support manufacturing operations.

• Keep detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an electrician apprenticeship or trade school preferred.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, industrial electronics, and control systems.

• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor control systems, and automated machinery.

• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
