MGS has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Engineer Intern to join our team. As an Industrial Engineer Intern, you will assist and support the the EHS and Engineering teams working on various projects and/or assigned tasks for the MGS Germantown Manufacturing plant primarily. The Industrial Engineer Internship program is intended to introduce college-level students to MGS and the world of Industrial Engineering within a plastic injection molding & cleanroom manufacturing environment. Student interns will engage in a 10 - 12-week internship opportunity in the summer of 2026.

The Industrial Engineer Intern will be coached on office and communication etiquette and will meet with their assigned MGS mentor at least weekly to discuss projects and questions. The Industrial Engineer Intern will have direct exposure to senior leadership team members and will be expected to complete a final report out to the MGS leadership team at the conclusion of their internship.

Below are additional duties and responsibilities:

  • Know and follow all of the Company's safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Function as support for the EHS team and Engineering team.
  • Complete assigned projects related to workstation layouts, ergonomics, safety equipment, and other projects as assigned.
  • Assist other MGS locations as needed with various EHS and engineering related projects.
  • Maintain constant communication with supervisor with regards to all work assignments.
  • Act in professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain the highest level of organization.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Use available resources in order to achieve work assignments.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
