Conduct time studies and work measurement to establish standard labor hours and cycle timesDevelop and maintain line balance, manpower allocation, and productivity models for assembly linesPerform capacity analysis based on demand, takt time, and equipment capabilityDesign, review, and optimize assembly line layouts to improve flow, space utilization, and safetySupport assembly line setup, ramp-up, relocation, and optimization for new and existing modelsIdentify and implement productivity and waste reduction improvements using Lean principlesAnalyze production performance data (labor efficiency, OEE, FPY) and recommend improvementsIdentify opportunities for automation or semi-automation to improve safety, quality, and efficiencySupport equipment trials, transfers, and process changes in coordination with Automation and Maintenance teamsProvide IE input to PFMEA, process reviews, and continuous improvement activitiesEducationBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering disciplineExperienceExperience in assembly or manufacturing operationsExposure to time study, line balancing, layout planning, and productivity improvement activitiesExperience supporting new model introduction or line setup is an advantageSkills & KnowledgeStrong foundation in Industrial Engineering tools and Lean manufacturingWorking knowledge of assembly layout design and material flow conceptsData analysis and reporting skills (Excel proficiency required)Ability to work effectively on the shopfloor with cross-functional teamsClear communication and problem-solving skillsThe Industrial Engineer supports assembly operations by improving productivity, labor efficiency, and process stability while identifying opportunities for automation.
