A Day in the LifeYou start your shift with walkthroughs and preventive checks, spotting wear before it becomes downtime. A conveyor needs alignment, a motor shows signs of heat, a PLC flag suggests a sensor fault — you diagnose, repair, verify, and document. When a maintenance request comes in, you respond quickly, coordinating with teammates to restore operation. Throughout the day, you follow strict safety protocols, keep precise records, and contribute ideas to improve processes and uptime.

- Perform routine service and corrective repairs on facility equipment and utility systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems
- Run regular inspections to ensure safe, optimal performance
- Create and maintain clear records of work performed and parts used
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies with urgency
- Partner with peers to enhance procedures, reliability, and efficiency
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations
- Take on other duties as assigned by your supervisor
- At least one (1) year of maintenance experience documented in your application’s work history, or completion of an industrial maintenance training program (experience can be combined across employers to total 1+ year)
- This facility accepts rehires only after 180 days, and having worked less than 3 times
- Must be 18 years or older and able to present valid identification
- Comfort using basic hand tools
- Foundational mechanical/maintenance knowledge across welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing
- Ability to read and understand work assignments
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds; climb stairs up to 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet; stand for extended periods; and work in extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather
