Role: Painter
Location: Carterville, IL 62918

Job Summary:

The Painter will prepare surfaces and apply protective or decorative paint finishes on manufactured products. The role includes sanding, sandblasting, mixing coatings, and applying paint according to specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, masking, and sandblasting.

• Mix, test, and apply liquid coatings based on specifications.

• Read and follow paint specifications and product data sheets.

• Operate painting equipment and maintain tools and work areas.

• Follow workplace safety and quality procedures.

• Support production goals and meet customer expectations.

• Work with diesel-powered pump components as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 1 3 years of industrial or manufacturing painting experience.

• Knowledge of conventional industrial painting techniques.

• Stable work history and ability to work independently.

• Manufacturing or job shop environment experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull regularly.

• Lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

• Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in varying temperatures and noisy environments.
