We offer paid clinical supervision for pre-licensure clinicians, a yearly continuing education/materials stipend, paid training in evidence-based practices, paid orientation to the position, flexible scheduling, and administrative support for insurance credentialing, client management, scheduling, and billing. PTO and benefits are also available for full-time staff.

About the Position

The Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Clinician will provide IECMH Consultation. This role focuses on developing systems of support for teachers, families, and children, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services.

The ideal candidate possesses these qualities:

  • Passionate Leadership: Demonstrates a deep commitment to supporting infants, young children, and families in achieving mental health and educational goals.

  • Clinical Expertise: Holds licensure as LMSW or equivalent, with experience in early childhood mental health and/or education.

  • Program Oversight: Provides observation, evaluation, collaboration, feedback, and treatment plans for identified children.

  • Collaborative Approach: Works closely with Head Start staff and ABHS leadership to develop and supervise support systems.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensures compliance with state clinical licensing requirements and programmatic expectations.

  • Community Engagement: Builds relationships with local community stakeholders to enhance awareness and utilization of IECMH Consultation services.

  • Equity and Inclusion: Upholds ABHS's commitment to equity, allyship, and non-discrimination in hiring and service provision, affirming LGBTQ+ communities and promoting racial healing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Head Start staff to develop a system of support for teachers, families, and children.

  • Provide observation, evaluation, collaboration, feedback, and treatment plans for identified children as needed.

  • Provide in-person support to teachers and students and hold virtual caregiver sessions to engage families.

  • Complete associated consultation trainings as required or deemed necessary.

  • Develop and provide training and technical assistance to childcare centers as requested or deemed necessary.

  • Engage in community impact projects, collaborative meetings, and local support projects to promote awareness and utilization of IECMH Consultation.

  • Travel daily to different early childhood serving agencies as required.

  • Maintain detailed, timely documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline.

  • Eligible to obtain temporary licensure within six months of hiring.

  • Experience working with infants, young children, and families preferred.

  • Experience in early childhood education preferred.

  • Committed to seeking independent licensure within a reasonable timeline.

  • LMSW or related licensure is preferred.

  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Clinical experience is required.

  • Previous experience with IECMH is preferred.
