HCTHealthcare -Flagstaff, AZ, United States HCT has an immediate need for an interim Infection Preventionist at a 70+ bed hospital in Arizona. Responsibilities for this position include: assisting with the development, monitoring, and enforcement of policies specific to Surveillance, Prevention and Control Programs, coordinating Infection Prevention and Control throughout the hospital and outpatient clinics, monitoring the on-going effectiveness of these activities and interventions, staff education, and preparation for TJC survey. Requirements: Education: BSN, Registered Nurse (RN) required; Master's degree preferred Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, statistical analysis, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software Licenses: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and BLS required Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.) All expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, transportation, and trips home during the assignment.
