• In depth knowledge of Gx portfolio – G30, G31, G32 and G42 system architecture, signal flow, DWDM/ROADM/CDC functional blocks and supported configurations

• In depth knowledge of SW/FW release lineups, element management system and network management system

• Expertise in reading Network Planning tool design, layouts and configurations

• Handson expertise in GX commissioning, provisioning and OAM&P (operations, admin, maintenance and provisioning)

• Proficient with automated NEAT tool – G30 v3 and G32 v1as well as manual NEAT procedures

• Proficient with NAT (Network Acceptance Test) methodology, field test and turn up procedures

• Proficient in fiber OSP, fiber handling, scoping, cleaning, connector types, etc

• Proficient with troubleshooting using fault sectionalization, interpreting OAM parameters (thresholds, alerts, events), optical power balancing (indepth understanding of internal system eOPMs (electronic optical power monitors)

• Preferred – experience with Frontier Communications Infinera optical network deployments, COEI process and in field infrastructure (installation, cable management)
