At MaxVal, we do the right things and innovate ceaselessly as a winning team to achieve customer success and employee success.What You'll Be Doing (The Role):Basically, you're the guardian—keeping MaxVal's computer networks and systems safe.This means planning for security, implementing measures, monitoring for breaches, and responding promptly when something happens.You need to be proactive about finding weak spots and making sure they follow security rules.Your Main Responsibilities:Helping write and set up security rules and procedures.Monitoring the networks for trouble and investigating any incidents.Assisting with security check-ups (audits) and risk assessments.Installing and keeping security software (like firewalls and encryption) up to date.Figuring out why a breach happened and suggesting fixes.Working with the IT crew to design secure systems.Staying current on all the latest cyber threats and trends (it moves fast!).Training staff on how to be security-aware.Helping the business understand security needs for new projects.Identifying what users need for data access and spotting security threats/violations.Getting involved in checking out vendor risks (third-party risk, data privacy, contract reviews).Helping create plans to protect digital data from being messed up or shared accidentally.Reviewing security violations and making sure staff are trained so it doesn't happen again.Making the risk management plan better by running assessments, audits, and tests.Deciding when to update anti-virus based on current reports.Other security stuff as assigned!Requirements:What You Need to Know (Skills & Expertise):Experience: 1+ years in computer systems, ideally with some security focus.You should have experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.Knowledge: Know your security frameworks (like ISO 27001 or NIST).Understand security tools and tech.Be good at analyzing problems and solving them.Need excellent communication and to be a team player.Bonus Points: Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH are great.Know-how in incident response and forensic analysis.Familiarity with cloud security and new tech is a plus.Benefits:Working in a world class organization which is SOC2 and ISO 27001 certifiedWebsite Link:
