About the Role
John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. is seeking an organized, detail‑oriented IT Administrative Assistant to support key IT operations, including user access management, onboarding, purchasing, training coordination, and compliance activities. This role is critical in ensuring secure, efficient IT processes and a smooth technology experience for employees across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both administrative structure and hands‑on involvement in IT processes, training, and cyber security initiatives.
This position is 4 days a week on-site in Elgin, IL.
This position is not open to candidates requiring sponsorship.
What You’ll Do
User Access & Compliance (65%)
- Manage and process network and application access requests (add/change/remove).
- Coordinate SOX‑404–related IT audit requests.
- Lead semi‑annual user access reviews for corporate systems.
IT Purchasing & Budget Support (15%)
- Process purchase orders for hardware, software, and IT services.
- Ensure accurate receipt and tracking of IT equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate new vendor setups.
- Track spending against IT capital and operating budgets.
- Conduct quarterly budget reviews with IT leadership.
- Maintain and update IT contracts within Lexion.
Cyber Security Training & Awareness (10%)
- Create engaging phishing simulations and targeted training for higher‑risk users.
- Lead the annual October Cyber Security Awareness campaign.
- Partner with Corporate Initiatives to upload and administer annual IT trainings.
IT Onboarding & End‑User Support (10%)
- Conduct IT onboarding for all new office employees.
- Provide ongoing training and support on key applications (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
- Assist the IT team with general administrative tasks and documentation.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Formal training and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Customer‑focused mindset and ability to support users at all levels.
