The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Information Technology Generalist 2 in the Enterprise Integration, Quality Assurance, and Testing Division. In this Information Technology Generalist 2 role you will serve as a quality assurance controller in the Information Technology Services; Bureau of Enterprise Applications Solutions; Enterprise Integration, Quality Assurance, and Testing Division. You will work with the unit responsible for testing new and modified software programs and systems as well as collaborate in the development of testing standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness. This involves conducting meetings with a variety of staff including business leads, upper management, testers, and technical staff and the opportunity to leads cross division teams to track testing progress. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the Northwest Office Building on the Tuesday before board meeting dates once every two to three weeks, and as operational needs dictate. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1; or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
  • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associates degree in any information technology field; or
  • An A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the linkand click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
