Information Technology Manager Apply
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, security, and IT staff. This role ensures reliable network operations, data security, system performance, and alignment of IT initiatives with business goals. The IT Manager leads day-to-day IT operations while planning and implementing long-term technology strategies to support growth and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities IT Operations & Infrastructure Manage and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, wireless systems). Oversee servers (on-premise and cloud-based), backups, and disaster recovery systems. Ensure high availability and performance of business-critical systems. Monitor system performance and implement upgrades as needed. Cybersecurity & Compliance Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Manage endpoint protection, firewalls, access controls, and data encryption. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, depending on industry). Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning. Systems & Software Management Oversee ERP, CRM, accounting, and other enterprise systems. Manage software licensing and vendor relationships. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve business operations. Coordinate system implementations and upgrades. Supervise IT support staff and external vendors/MSPs. Set performance goals and conduct evaluations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship. Manage IT helpdesk operations and service-level agreements. Budget & Strategic Planning Develop and manage annual IT budget. Plan long-term technology roadmap aligned with company growth. Control IT expenditures and negotiate vendor contracts. Identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of progressive IT experience. 2+ years in a supervisory or management role preferred. Technical Skills Server management (Windows Server, virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V). Cybersecurity best practices and tools. Backup and disaster recovery systems. ERP and business application support. Certifications (Preferred) CompTIA Network+ or Security+ Microsoft, Cisco, or AWS certifications CISSP, CISM, or similar (for more security‑focused roles) #J-18808-Ljbffr
