Job Description and Duties
Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
Under administrative direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) acts as the lead in Identity and Privileged Access Management within the security engineering, system engineering, and software engineering domains. The ITS II will act as a subject matter expert, provide technical guidance and perform complex technical tasks in architecting, implementing, managing, securing and supporting CDI identity and privileged access management and security related technologies. The ITS II is responsible for working with technical subject matter experts including application developers, network engineers, security engineers, system engineers, technical support teams, all management levels including the department CISO, consultants, vendors, state and other external entities to develop and implement solutions, policies and maintain compliance related to identity and privileged access and security related issues. Develops and maintains current expert level knowledge of relevant IPAM and security related technologies.
Overtime work may be required. Occasional travel may be required within and/or outside the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.).

Working Conditions
- Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs Telework policy. Government Code (Use if no other specific telework information is provided by Hiring Managers) for eligible applicants must reside in California.
- Must be able to work in a high-rise building.
- Ability to transport documents and/or equipment up to 15-25 lbs., i.e. laptop computer, files, reference manuals, solicitation documents, etc.

- Knowledge and/or experience with identity and privileged access management tools, password management tools i.e. OKTA, Keeper Security, ForgeRock or equivalent
- Knowledge and/or experience with identity lifecycle management, authentication protocols i.e. SAML, OAUTH, OpenID, Active Directory, Azure AD, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Single-Sign-On (SSO), Role Based Access
- Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Windows server, desktop, Linux server, virtualization, cloud services i.e. Azure PaaS, SaaS, IaaS
- Knowledge and/or experience with scripting, Powershell, VBscript, JSON, system automation
- Knowledge and/or experience with networking i.e. DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN/WAN, network troubleshooting, OSI model
- Knowledge and/or experience with network security i.e. firewalls, VPN, A/V, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, DLP, NLB, PKI, EDR,
- Knowledge and/or experience with application development, system development life cycle
- Technical, documentation, communication and mentoring skills and leadership
