Information Technology Specialist Apply
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Hardware and Network Support Engineer to support and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves providing hands‑on support for computer hardware, peripherals, and basic networking, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability of systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in hardware troubleshooting as well as a working knowledge of network devices and configurations. Key Responsibilities Hardware Support Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals Perform diagnostics and repair of faulty hardware components Manage hardware asset inventory and ensure accurate tracking of IT equipment Set up and configure workstations and devices for new users Coordinate hardware servicing and warranty claims with vendors Network Support Assist with installation and maintenance of network equipment (switches, routers, access points) Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, cabling, IP conflicts) Support configuration of network devices, patch panels, and structured cabling Monitor network performance and elevate complex issues to senior engineers Maintain basic documentation of network layouts, device IPs, and cabling maps General IT Support Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve hardware and network‑related issues Provide user support for connectivity and hardware performance issues Ensure compliance with IT security policies and practices Maintain documentation of tasks, changes, and incidents Participate in system upgrades and infrastructure improvement projects Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field 5–10 years of experience in IT hardware and/or network support Hands‑on experience with computer hardware, peripherals, and basic server support Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, and wireless networking Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling standards Good communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Certifications (not Mandatory) CompTIA A / Network Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator ITIL Foundation Hardware & Networking course from a reputed institution #J-18808-Ljbffr
