Tier 1 Infrastructure Engineer - 30k - AbingdonMy Product Path are recruiting on behalf of a global Electronics organisation for a Tier 1 Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis. The role is initially 4 days on-site.As a Tier 1 Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for supporting on-premise infrastructure for our clients, with a focus on our end user devices such as computers and mobile devices. As this is a customer-facing role, strong communication skills are essential. Key responsibilities:Support on-premise infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, Windows Server roles (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP). Maintain and support our end user infrastructure, including computers, mobile devices, printers, meeting room equipment.Support backup and disaster recovery solutions, primarily using Veeam.Maintain comprehensive documentation of the infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.Ensure security best practices are implemented across on-premise environments in line with our security and vulnerability policiesProviding BAU support for the businesses and leveraging the senior engineers as an escalation point.Ensure detailed and comprehensive information is captured for each ticket, including user details, issue description, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolution.Categorise, prioritise, and assign tickets according to established procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).Maintain timely and accurate updates on ticket status and resolution progress throughout the ticket lifecycle.We want someone who displays:Action-Oriented Curiosity: You readily take on challenges, and you identify and seize new opportunities.
