Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour (DOE)

JOB SUMMARY
The Information Technology Technician provides front-line technical support and assistance to staff and departments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting hardware, software, networks, and end-user systems under the direction of the Information Technology Manager.
The IT Technician focuses on service delivery, issue resolution, and system support, escalating complex or critical issues to the IT Manager as appropriate.
Essential Duties:
- Provides technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Responds to and resolves help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Installs, configures, and maintains computers, peripherals, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment.
- Assists with system upgrades, software deployments, patches, and routine maintenance.
- Performs basic network troubleshooting and supports connectivity issues.
- Supports phone systems, mobile devices, cameras, and other technology equipment.
- Assists with hardware installation, cabling, and workstation setup.
- Documents issues, resolutions, procedures, and technical changes.
- Follows established IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Monitors systems and reports performance, security, or reliability concerns to the IT Manager, and assists with corrective actions as directed..
- Assists with system security tasks, including patch verification, access provisioning and de-provisioning, and basic security checks under established procedures.
- Participates in documentation of systems, standard operating procedures, and technical runbooks.
- Supports IT projects, system upgrades, and technology deployments as assigned.
- Participates in cross-training to ensure coverage of core systems and services.
- Assists with periodic audits, inventories, and compliance-related activities as directed.
- Provides basic end-user training and guidance as needed.
- Coordinates with vendors or third-party support under direction of the IT Manager.
- Maintains professionalism and provides high-quality customer service to staff and officials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical coursework, certification, or associates degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred
- Entry-level to two (2) years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical services preferred.
- Experience supporting hardware, software, and end-users in a professional environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and security principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and follow established procedures.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to document work clearly and accurately.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.
- Ability to work independently while following direction and escalation protocols.

PRCI Tribal Preference:
In accordance with applicable Tribal Law, and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the PRCI Administration shall give preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and lay-off to enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. To qualify for this preference, applicants must submit verification of enrollment in the Tribe. Preference means that Tribal Members who are equally qualified as non-tribal members will be hired. In addition, on the Human Resources Interview rubric that allows for a total of 75 points during interviews, Tribal members will be awarded an additional 7.5 points (10% of allotted points) counted in the overall tally. Tribal members who are not Chukchansi will receive Indian preference by awarding five additional points (6.7% of the total allotted points).
