Infrastructure Platform Engineer - Payments/Financial Services - Contract - URGENT!We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading global provider of payments technology, for an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join their team in Arnhem.The role sits within a major infrastructure transformation programme focused on maintaining a stable and secure core platform environment before, during and after a large datacentre migration.Key responsibilities• Lifecycle management of Windows and Linux servers• Administration of VMware ESXi / VMware Cloud Foundation environments• Management of storage and backup platforms• Coordinate OS, hypervisor and firmware patching activitiesMigration and platform stabilisation• Support datacentre migrations including application moves, cluster migrations and storage cutovers• Perform post-migration validation, troubleshooting and workload stabilisation• Resolve technical dependencies between application, infrastructure, network and cloud teamsNetwork-adjacent infrastructure administration• Server-side configuration including NIC bonding, VLAN tagging, MTU and interface mapping• Load balancer object management including health checks, pools and monitoring• DNS and DHCP changes for servers and clusters• Coordinate with network engineering teams for routing and firewall changesDisaster recovery and operational readiness• Develop and maintain DR and failover scenarios• Maintain infrastructure runbooks and recovery procedures• Improve monitoring, alerting and performance analysis across the platformPreferred experience• Linux (RHEL or Ubuntu)• VMware infrastructure• Enterprise server, storage and backup environments• Experience supporting datacentre migrations or large platform transformationsLocation: Arnhem, NetherlandsIf this aligns with your experience, feel free to reach out directly or apply via LinkedIn.
