Job Summary:
As a key member of our IT Operations team, the Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our Infrastructure environment both on-prem and in the Cloud. The Engineer will work closely with our managed service provider. Advanced Cloud knowledge is essential to keeping us on the cutting edge.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze infrastructure solutions and systems, including collaborating with requestors to determine infrastructure resource requirements and specifications.
- Deploys and maintains infrastructure solutions such as Servers, Storage, and Network Solutions both on-prem and in the Cloud (Azure preferred). Actively manages infrastructure solutions such as performance, analyzes logs, and troubleshoots issues. Assists with identifying bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, or performance degradation.
- Manage infrastructure environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve third-level support requests from end-users by tracing data flows within and/or across systems.
- Configuring infrastructure components like networking and security services.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Verify that any backup procedures have been carried out successfully and are in line with policies.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other policies and procedures as instructed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all troubleshooting procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science (or equivalent)
- Extensive experience in on-prem datacenter options and Cloud technology such as AWS or Azure (preferred).
- Extensive experience in Automating Infrastructure deployments such as TerraForm and Ansible.
- Experiences with diverse infrastructure solutions such as servers, serverless, VPN, VDI, backup, monitoring, load balancer, SQL platform, Redis, etc.
- Extensive experience with LAN, WLAN, and virtual networking. (CCNA or equivalent a plus).
- Extensive experience with M365, DNS, and mail flow.
- Extensive experience analyzing requirements and specifications for various infrastructure solutions.
- Experience working within an ITIL Framework.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts.
- Unique combination of attention to detail, excellent organization skills, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher would be a plus.
- Experience with Voice Solutions (Teams/Genesys) would be a plus.
