Position Overview:

  • The Infrastructure Engineer is a key member of the IT infrastructure team, responsible for providing comprehensive technical support. This role involves diagnosing and resolving a wide range of infrastructure-related problems, from basic end-user queries to complex network and system issues. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in various IT domains, including hardware, software, network, and server management.

Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
  1. Develop and manage mobile device and application policies through Microsoft Intune.
  2. Deploy and maintain compliance rules, conditional access policies, and device configurations.
  3. Proactively monitor and remediate device-related issues to ensure endpoint integrity.
  • SharePoint Online
    1. Administer SharePoint Online environments including site collections, permissions, and content governance.
    2. Design and support workflows, retention schedules, and security controls.
    3. Partner with business units to optimize SharePoint usage for collaboration and document management.
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
    1. Configure and maintain identity and access policies, role assignments, and conditional access rules.
    2. Manage hybrid identity environments including directory synchronization and federation.
  1. Implement and monitor security features such as MFA, SSO, and identity protection.
  • Microsoft Exchange Online
    1. Support and administer Exchange Online mail flow, mailbox configurations, and security settings.
    2. Maintain mail hygiene and compliance tools (e.g., ATP, DLP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
    3. Diagnose and resolve issues with mail delivery, client access, and service availability.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance and Monitoring:
    1. Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and key processes.
    2. Review system and application logs and verify the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    1. Maintain operational, configuration, and other procedural documentation.
    2. Prepare reports on incidents and breaches, including recommendations for future prevention or changes to protocol.
  • Project Support and Implementation:
    1. Participate in the implementation of new hardware and software, including the testing and roll-out of new systems.
    2. Provide technical support and guidance during project phases, as needed.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement:
    1. Keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends in IT infrastructure.
    2. Participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications highly desirable (MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300, MD-102, MS-700, etc.).
  • Relevant vendor-neutral certifications also desirable (CompTIA, ITSM, ISC2, ISACA, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
  • Understanding of best practice concepts such as ITSM and ITIL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple issues concurrently.
  • Proficiency in various operating systems and IT infrastructure tools.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience .
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure support covering Levels 1-3.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment, with remote work arrangements.
  • Will require on-call availability and occasional work outside normal business hours during critical incidents or project implementations.

Travel Requirements:

  • May require travel to AR events that need IT assistance or setup.
