Job Description:

The Ingredient Handling Technician is responsible for supporting the Pilot Plant and overall site operations in various Pilot Plant activities. This role is primarily responsible for working side by side with weigh up technician. This role will be responsible for all material handling activities including, but not limited to trial ingredient picking and preparation, inbound and outbound material management, warehousing, and finished goods material management.

Executes daily tasks in accordance with material management best-practices to minimize inventory adjustments
Assists in batch preparation by locating and pulling materials and assisting in weigh ups for trials, pulling waste for weekly disposal, and sample delivery.
Supports operations in a safe and conscientious fashion
Work independently on related duties requested by supervisor(s) with a minimum of instruction.

Experience and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience.
Material handling and/or production environment exposure
Working on a team as an individual contributor
Has experience operating in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment with minimal guidance.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as job requires lifting and repetitive motion.
Ability to use lift tables, pump carts, and hydraulic pallet jacks.
Previous experience using weigh up systems or scales are preferred

Additional Skills:
- communication skills (will be working within a team)
- ability to work independently when needed
- computer skills, comfortability learning new systems and databases
