We are searching for a leader in precision injection molding to assist creating high-quality components for industries like automotive, medical, electronics, and consumer products. As the Manufacturing Manager the ideal candidate will possess a strong background encompassing injection molding processes, machinery, maintenance, quality control, and process troubleshooting. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all injection molding processing operations within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the injection molding department, including scheduling and staffing.
- Lead and train a team of operators and technicians to meet production goals.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase productivity.
- Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of injection molding machines.
- Work with quality control to ensure products meet all specifications.
- Track key performance metrics, such as production rates and downtime, and take corrective actions when needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety procedures.
- Oversee raw material inventory to ensure adequate stock and prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and resolve any issues.
- Manage department budgets and costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field is preferred but not required.
- At least 8 years of experience in injection molding, with 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and equipment.
- Experience in managing production teams and improving operations.
- Familiar with quality control processes and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with production software and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
