Pay: $100,000 - 150,000 + benefits

We are seeking a highly skilled technical injection molding leader to assist this plastic manufacturing company based near Tampa, FL. As the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of injection molding processes, machinery, and reliable troubleshooting. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all injection molding processing operations within the plant and will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that the facility provides the highest quality plastic injection-molded molded products produced in the most efficient manner within budgeted costs. Implements systems to effectively manage production schedules, properly supporting the business.
- Leads the effort and drives Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques fostering continuous improvement within the facility. Proactively assists in regard to problem resolution.
- Manages profit and loss for the facility and drives plant performance and reviews KPIs regularly.
- Leads the overall strategic planning efforts for the location, which include cost reduction initiatives, capital planning, and resources as well as in other areas.
- Manages the overall safety, quality, scheduling, production, shipping, maintenance and other administrative functions for the facility.
- Leads the effort in maintaining a safe, clean and efficient operation, working within all company guidelines and local/state/federal regulations.
- Strives to improve the plant's safety accident record year over year in creating a positive safety culture for all employees. Conducts safety walks of the facility on a weekly basis.
- Hires, trains, develops, and motivates staff in an effort to optimize the workforce. Delivers performance reviews and any feedback to the team as needed.

- Schedules and conducts weekly staff meetings that focus on key operational measurements.
Qualifications
- A College Degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Management is preferred but not required.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in leading Injection molding operations, including supervising maintenance, assisting engineering, driving process Improvement and effectively managing teams of people
- Previous experience working in a Lean environment or Six Sigma Certification is a plus
- Must have prior, hands-on experience executing plastic injection molding processes, with proficiency in mold setup, machine startup, and process optimization and/or development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with process development and business process design.
- Must have experience managing to the ISO or equivalent quality standards in a plastic manufacturing environment.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in leading Injection molding operations, including supervising maintenance, assisting engineering, driving process Improvement and effectively managing teams of people
- Previous experience working in a Lean environment or Six Sigma Certification is a plus
- Must have prior, hands-on experience executing plastic injection molding processes, with proficiency in mold setup, machine startup, and process optimization and/or development.
