Salary: $60,000- 85,000 Base + Benefits

Location: Rockford, MI
Schedule: Full-time / 3rd shift available
We have an injection molding company based near the Rockford, MI region that is in need of a skilled Production Supervisor to lead injection molding manufacturing operationsduring their third shift. The plant supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for managing a team of operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
  • Actively supervise a team of injection molding machine operators. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of molded parts and address any deviations from quality requirements.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule preventive maintenance and address equipment breakdowns promptly.
  • Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements. Implement lean manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
  • Prepare production reports, performance metrics, and other relevant documentation as required by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED. Degree or trade school certification is a PLUS
  • At least 5 years of injection molding manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long durations of time, and perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
