Inside Sales RepresentativeThe Inside Sales Representative generates sales through consultative showroom interactions and proactive relationship building. This role prepares accurate quotes, processes orders efficiently, and coordinates product deliveries with precision and attention to detail. The position focuses on developing new business opportunities, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and partnering with architects, designers, builders, and homeowners. The Inside Sales Representative stays informed about industry trends and product offerings to provide tailored recommendations and collaborates with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience from initial consultation through project completion.ResponsibilitiesGenerate sales by engaging customers in the showroom through consultative, solution-focused interactions.Prepare accurate and timely quotes that reflect customer needs, product specifications, and project requirements.Process customer orders efficiently and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.Coordinate product deliveries, including scheduling and logistics, to meet customer timelines and expectations.Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, community involvement, and participation in industry events.Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent follow-up, lead nurturing, and account management.Build and sustain strong partnerships with architects, designers, builders, contractors, and homeowners.Provide knowledgeable product recommendations based on a thorough understanding of industry trends and current product offerings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience from consultation through project completion.Deliver high-quality customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining clear communication throughout the sales process.Maintain organized records of customer interactions, quotes, orders, and follow-up activities using Microsoft Office and other internal tools.Support showroom operations by maintaining a professional, welcoming environment and assisting with retail sales activities as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in sales, business development, customer-facing consulting, or showroom sales.Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on delivering a positive customer experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office for preparing quotes, managing documentation, and tracking sales activities.Experience with order processing and sales support in a retail or showroom environment.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, follow-ups, and deadlines simultaneously.Effective follow-up skills to maintain a healthy sales pipeline and close opportunities.Ability to build and maintain relationships through proactive outreach, networking, and consistent communication.Self-motivated and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Comfort working in a showroom or retail sales environment with direct customer interaction.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience within plumbing, lighting, kitchen and bath, home improvement, interior design, construction, or related industries.Prior experience working with contractors, builders, architects, or designers.Background in business development, including networking and community involvement.Familiarity with showroom operations in environments similar to home improvement retailers.Ability to stay informed about industry trends and new product offerings to provide informed recommendations.Experience handling quoting and sales activities in environments comparable to large home improvement or specialty retail settings.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an officeshowroom setting that combines a professional workspace with a customer-facing retail environment. The typical schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays rotating among a team of three people. The environment involves frequent in-person interaction with customers, including homeowners and industry professionals, and regular use of computers and Microsoft Office for quoting, order processing, and communication. The showroom setting requires a neat, professional appearance appropriate for a customer-facing sales role.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.06 - $22.06/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
