Job Summary

A Lease Consultant is responsible for negotiating lease agreements on behalf of MD7’s clients. As a consultant you with internal and external stakeholders to process lease transactions from start to closing, including communicating the terms and conditions of those agreements with all parties.

Major goals and responsibilities

  • Call warm to hot leads, establishing a strong relationship with appropriate parties
  • Identify correct contact(s) for leads when prospecting
  • Negotiate leases and maximize terms with landlords
  • Prepare sales proposals for client review
  • Communicate details of negotiated lease with key stakeholders
  • Update system with documentation of all communications with each party
  • Managing lead pipeline from sourcing to closing
  • Being a point of contact to prospective clients by engaging with them and delivering value for our tenant.
  • Achieve personal target goals on a monthly and annual basis

Essential Activities

  • Communicate with Landlords: includes negotiating leases through inbound and outbound calls, attempting to contact landlords and sending or reviewing voicemail and emails to/from landlords.
  • Prepare for Calls: includes reviewing and researching existing and/or new leases using the Company’s database/software system, internet and other various sources.
  • Enter Data: includes entering data into the Company’s database/software system, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  • Prepare Sales Proposals: includes creating presentation packages with accurate information and sending them via fax, email, standard mail, etc.
  • Document Management: Learn to draft documents, revise documents, read redlines, and work thru the documents between the tenant and client.
  • Collaboration among multiple departments: Working with our in-house teams, the tenant contacts, and legal (attorneys representing the client and tenant)

Key Characteristics to be Successful in this Role

  • Demonstrable experience negotiating or persuading others to take action.
  • Strong attention to detail; including the ability to interpret complex leases.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Salesforce (or similar CRM software), Outlook, Excel and Word are required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively over the phone.
  • Ability to prioritize and be self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Comfortable placing outbound calls.
  • Strong entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit (team-oriented individual).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The candidate will deliver a high level of ethical and personal values to the team.

Experience

  • 1 year of sales experience with commission-based sales environment.
  • Customer Service, call center and/or experience dealing with the public is helpful.
  • High School diploma
  • Experience in the mortgage, insurance or real estate industry especially considered!

Pay Range:  $23.08/HR + Commissions

Employment Type: Full-Time Employment (36 hour per week)
