Support students in a dynamic school environment as a paraprofessional in Blue Springs, Missouri. This contract role involves working directly with a male student in a 1:1 setting within a school day schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:55 PM, starting April 6th through May 28th. Flexibility is essential as the position may require assisting with toileting needs and potentially transitioning to other classrooms at the site before the end of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a male student with behavioral needs
• Assist with toileting and personal care as required
• Implement behavioral strategies under supervision, with training provided if needed
• Adapt to changing classroom settings and routines throughout the day
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with school staff and the special education team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, ideally with behavior support background
• Comfort working with challenging behaviors
• Certification or active status as a paraprofessional (DESE certification preferred)
• Training in MANDT or CPI is a plus but not mandatorytraining will be offered if needed
• Ability to obtain necessary background checks and drug screening promptly
• Flexibility to start immediately following spring break (April 6)
