A school district in Maine is seeking three dedicated Educational Technicians (II or III) to support K-5 students with a life skills-based curriculum during the 2026-2027 academic year. These part-time roles (32 hours per week) are ideal for individuals holding either an Educational Technician II or III certificate who are passionate about fostering student development in a supportive educational environment.
Location: Damariscotta, ME (Central Lincoln County area)
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering life skills-based lessons tailored for K-5 students
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Implement instructional strategies under supervision to promote student engagement and growth
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with educators and staff
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Possession of an Educational Technician II or III certificate (required)
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or educational technician preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students and educators
- Ability to follow instructional plans and adapt to student needs
