Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Engage in a rewarding paraprofessional role supporting students with moderate to severe behavioral and autism-related needs during an extended school year (ESY) program in Bucks County, PA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work Monday through Thursday in classroom settings across multiple locations within Bucks County Intermediate Unit 22, with placement considerations based on your residence and student needs.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year as a paraprofessional working with students requiring moderate to severe behavioral or autism-related support, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Must hold at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification: 48 college credits, an associate degree or higher, or a Credential of Competency or Child Development Associate (CDA).
  • Candidates without current qualifications are required to complete a 7-module certification process within 60 days of hire.
  • Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of the assigned school are mandatory.
  • Commitment to the full ESY schedule from June 24 to July 30, 2026, including orientation days on June 24 and 25.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students exhibiting behaviors such as hitting, spitting, biting, and eloping.
  • Assist with toileting and lifting as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teams to implement individualized student supports.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance throughout the contract period.
  • Participate in orientation and preparation sessions before instructional dates.

  • Fallsington Elementary, Fallsington
  • Cecilia Snyder Middle School, Bensalem
  • Strayer Middle School, Quakertown
  • Samuel Everitt School, Levittown
  • Pearl Buck Elementary School, Levittown
