Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Redford, MI, is seeking three paraprofessionals to provide essential support within classroom and 1:1 settings. These roles focus on assisting students with behavioral challenges by implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting academic engagement. This is a full-time, onsite contract position scheduled from ASAP through June 11, 2026, averaging 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional and behavioral support to students in both individual and classroom environments
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of behavior intervention strategies
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to promote student success and safety
  • Support academic engagement and foster a positive learning atmosphere
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with the educational team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least one full school year of experience working with students with behavioral challenges and special needs in a school setting
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
  • Candidates must meet ONE of the following educational criteria:• Minimum of 60 college credits• Associate degree or higher• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Must provide an updated resume and two professional references from previous managers

Location:

  • The position is onsite within the district in Redford, MI; exact assignment to be determined
