Job Description: TOP THINGS LOOKING FOR:

Technical writing and training development experience, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills.


TOP SKILL SETS LOOKING FOR:

Team player, willing to learn and receptive to feedback.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training for apprenticeships in the power generation utility industry.
  • Develop learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, simulations, and other instructional media.
  • Perform a detailed task analysis for each job function, business process, or system for which training will be developed.
  • Define learning objectives and course structure aligned to stakeholder needs and to meet the constraints of the learning environment.
  • Work under the direction of the senior instructional designer to apply company standards, guidelines, and templates.
  • Participate in milestone meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis, alpha, beta, train the trainer, and pilot.
  • Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.


Required Skills

  • 3+ years experience developing instructor-led training for technical skills; such as electrical utilities or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design or education related areas of study.
  • Skilled in instructional design methodologies and technical writing.
  • Experienced in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables on time.
  • Work closely with team and subject matter experts to proactively communicate concerns, issues and risks.
