Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer - Principal OnsiteAbout the JobLocation: Houston, TX and/or Greenville, SCPay rate: HourlyJob ID: 8000This is a Full Time W2 position, no subcontracting or C2C.Overview:DataSoft Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our client in Greenville, SC.Responsibilities:Provides technical direction to assigned engineers as requiredConduct construction document reviews as requiredPerform a broad range of I&C design activities, including design definition, control systems architecture and development, digital systems, PLC, DCS, network configuration, logic development, network switches, process controls, P&ID development support and review, HMI, communication protocols, routing and layout, SIL, and procurement activitiesInterpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks through project startupPrepare engineering cost and schedule estimatesGenerate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specificationsFamiliarity with computer aided drafting applications is requiredQualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to electrical engineering designBachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S. with a minimum of 15 years' experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.Professional Engineer License preferred but not requiredAbout our CompanyDataSoft Technologies is a highly recognized provider of professional IT Consulting services in the US.
