Insurance Sales Agent I Apply
Our partner is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent I in Happy Valley, OR. This role involves building relationships with current and prospective clients, providing guidance on insurance policies, and cross-selling solutions based on client needs. The position plays a key role in helping clients enhance their financial well-being through comprehensive insurance coverage.
Responsibilities
- Advise and cross-sell insurance policies to protect individuals and businesses from financial risks.
- Seek out new clients through referrals, networking, marketing, and lead databases.
- Tailor insurance programs to fit individual client needs and risk profiles.
- Interview clients to assess financial needs, property conditions, and existing coverage.
- Explain insurance policy features, advantages, and disadvantages, and process applications.
- Match clients with insurance policies offering the best rates and coverage.
- Calculate premiums and establish payment methods.
- Issue binders as requested by mortgagees and loss payees.
- Process insurance claims efficiently, ensuring fair settlements for clients and insurers.
- Analyze and update insurance programs for existing policyholders.
- Inspect properties to evaluate insurance risk based on factors such as age and construction type.
- Perform administrative duties such as policy renewals and payment processing.
- Collaborate with internal staff to provide feedback on referrals and sales leads.
- Support business development efforts through marketing, branch displays, and member referrals.
- Offer ongoing assistance to clients with insurance needs.
- Complete continuing education requirements to maintain an active insurance license.
- Conduct product and referral training for internal staff at the branch level.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and US Patriot Act.
- Participate in the company’s Email Security Awareness Program.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years of related experience.
- Education: High school diploma or GED. Active insurance license required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
