Overview Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM Compensation: $24 - $26 per hour (California range) About the Role The Intake Specialist plays a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for clients entering Duffy’s Rehab. As the first point of contact upon arrival, this position ensures a smooth intake experience by coordinating with the remote admissions team, completing required documentation, and guiding clients through the initial steps of their stay. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with direct client interaction. About Us Located in Calistoga, California, Duffy's Napa Valley Rehab is Northern California's premier addiction treatment center for adults age 18 and older. Since 1967, Duffy's Napa Valley Rehab has provided addiction and co-occurring mental health treatment for people of all genders. We offer residential, detox, and outpatient services that are customized to meet the unique needs of each person we treat. Our team uses many different types of therapies, including individual, family, and group therapies, as well as experiential therapies such as art therapy, yoga, meditation, and music therapy. This holistic treatment experience has allowed us to help more than 38,000 families overcome their battles with addiction. At Duffy's Napa Valley Rehab, our mission is to help people break free from addiction and find hope through programs that focus on education and the development of skills that lead to lasting recovery. We treat each of our guests with the same dignity, respect, and compassion that we would our own family, joining them on their recovery journey and offering them a lifetime of ongoing support through our extensive alumni services. Responsibilities Liaise with client/family of potential admissions to address any questions, concerns, etc. Coordinate facility tours with clients and families who are potential admissions. Interface with remote admissions team and on‑site clinical team for necessary approvals, plan for client arrival, including travel arrangements as applicable. Establishes professional rapport with client to ensure that they feel welcomed upon arrival. Supports arrival process including coordinating assessment/bed placement process, searches of client belongings/person for prohibited items. Orients client to the facility/milieu. Liaises with direct care/nursing/clinical team to ensure client is set‑up with a treatment plan/schedule as needed. Ensures intake paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and documentation is maintained as required. May discuss client’s financial responsibility and take payment as applicable. Provides exceptional customer service in line with Acadia Healthcare standards. Qualifications Standard Expectations Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality. Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team. Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time. Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Education / Experience / Skill Requirements High‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1 – 2 years of experience in a patient care environment in a substance use/behavioral health setting, is preferred. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, and an ability to use required computer programs. Licenses / Designations / Certifications De‑escalation training, CPR and/or First‑Aid certification as required by facility. Compensation for roles at Duffy’s Rehab varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Duffy’s Rehab provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California set forth below.
