OverviewThe Transmission Team is responsible for the deployment, operation, maintenance, and protection of physical network infrastructure and transmission equipment at field sites. This includes fiber optic cables (underground and aerial), transmission equipment, cabinets, manholes, ducts, poles, and other related passive and active network components. The role ensures the availability, safety, reliability, and quality of the outside plant (OSP) and transmission network through effective field execution and close coordination with internal teams, local authorities, and external contractors.Fresh graduates are welcome. Priority will be given to Bachelor’s degree holders from recent graduating classes (2022–2025).Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, acceptance, migration, and handover of new and existing OSP projects, ensuring compliance with approved designs, construction standards, and quality requirements.Conduct operation and maintenance of OSP fiber optic infrastructure, including fiber splicing, cut-over activities, aerial and underground cable relocation, rehabilitation, and emergency fault restoration.Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve fiber and passive network faults efficiently to restore services within defined SLA timelines.Carry out routine inspection and audit of OSP sites, including manholes, handholes, cabinets, poles, and routes, to ensure network integrity and safety compliance.Employment StandardsBachelor of Science in Electronics EngineeringThis role requires hands-on experience or basic exposure to OSP fiber networks and transmission systems, strong field troubleshooting skills, and effective coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure high network availability, reliability, and service quality.Job Skills & QualificationsSupport installation, commissioning, basic operation, and maintenance of transmission-related equipment deployed in field sites, cabinets, or shelters, in coordination with relevant network teams.Assist in troubleshooting and restoration activities involving transmission equipment during network failures or service degradation events.Supervise and coordinate contractors and vendors during OSP construction, maintenance, equipment installation, and restoration activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence.Coordinate with LGUs, barangays, and utility companies (e.g. electric pole owners) during OSP construction, relocation, pole sharing, and restoration activities.Maintain and update OSP and transmission-related documentation, including as-built drawings, route maps, and asset records using AutoCAD, GIS, or related systems.Support transmission, access, and other network teams during network expansion, upgrades, optimization, and emergency restoration activities.Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies during all on-site activities.Manage assets and materials related to OSP and transmission works, including tools, fiber materials, transmission equipment, spare parts, and inventory tracking.
