A nationally respected intellectual property litigation practice is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Boston office. This opportunity offers attorneys the ability to work on sophisticated patent, trade secret, licensing, and life sciences disputes involving biopharma manufacturers, research institutions, universities, and innovative technology-focused organizations.

Attorneys in this position will work on complex disputes involving cutting‑edge scientific and commercial issues while gaining meaningful courtroom and arbitration experience.
The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will work closely with experienced trial attorneys and nationally respected IP litigators on sophisticated disputes involving patent rights, inventorship claims, trade secrets, licensing conflicts, and commercial litigation matters affecting the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities
Represent biopharma manufacturers, research institutions, universities, and technology-focused clients in sophisticated intellectual property disputes
Handle patent and contract litigation matters involving complex scientific and commercial issues
Participate in litigation before U.S. courts, arbitral proceedings, and the International Trade Commission
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and litigation‑related filings
Conduct sophisticated legal research involving patent rights, inventorship disputes, licensing conflicts, and trade secrets issues
Assist with discovery management, depositions, witness preparation, and litigation strategy development
Collaborate with litigation teams on complex intellectual property and commercial litigation matters
Analyze legal and factual issues affecting life sciences and patent‑related disputes
Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation developments and strategic legal considerations
Prepare matters for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required
Admission to practice law in the United States required
Minimum of 3+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
Prior experience in intellectual property or patent litigation preferred
Experience in the life sciences sector strongly preferred
Familiarity with patent rights litigation and trade secrets disputes advantageous
Science degree preferred but not required
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple sophisticated litigation matters efficiently
