Intensive Care Rn Apply
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients
- Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
- Administer IV medications, vasopressors, sedatives, and other critical therapies
- Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps
- Provide care for patients with organ failure, severe infections, trauma, or post-surgical complications
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts
- Interpret lab results and diagnostic data to guide patient care
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations
- Maintain detailed patient documentation and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards
ICU RNs frequently care for patients with:
- Respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation
- Sepsis or severe infections
- Cardiac arrest or severe cardiac conditions
- Traumatic injuries
- Stroke or neurological emergencies
- Multi-organ failure
- Post-operative complications after major surgery
