Intermediate Classroom Teacher – Grades 5-6 Responsibilities: Plan, instruct, and assess the district curriculum. Maintain classroom management to ensure maximum student engagement and learning. Implement Readers’ Workshop, Writers’ Workshop, and Math Workshop, including flexible small group instruction. Build positive relationships with all stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleagues. Apply research‑based instructional strategies and integrate technology into the classroom. Participate in district and building professional development opportunities and meetings. Understand and implement Missouri Learning Standards into the curriculum. Qualifications: Current Missouri Certification in Elementary Education B‑3 or 1‑6. Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and a desire to learn Response to Intervention. Knowledge of research‑based instructional strategies and a desire to incorporate technology into instruction. Understanding of Missouri Learning Standards and formal/informal assessment strategies. Willingness to collaborate with peers and participate in the district’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
