Salary Range: $43,476 - $56,098 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Summary
The Internal Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for the creation and implementation of digital content for the Office of Auxiliary Services Marketing, to include social media, web copy and other visual media. In addition, this position will generate client content as needed for digital outlets. The position focuses primarily on internal campus marketing efforts but may extend efforts to external marketing audiences as needed. This position is supervised by the Social Media Program Manager, with additional oversight by the Auxiliary Services Marketing Manager. This role offers hybrid work with a mix of in-office and remote days, with some special events outside of the standard 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Supports internal campus social media channels, including strategic planning, account management and content creation (e.g. Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.) for UCCS Auxiliary Services departments and UCCS Student Life.
- Monitors trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
- Develops compelling visual and written content for digitally-delivered marketing campaigns for use on social media, campus digital signage, web pages, etc.).
- Liaisons with campus constituents as needed to execute on auxiliary marketing initiatives.
- Position should be constantly cognizant of student needs and the campus community in order to effectively communicate via digital channels.
- Position works in tandem with the University Communications and Auxiliary Services Marketing teams.
- Provides secondary support for campus digital signage needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Education: Bachelors degree in marketing, communication or closely related field.
- Experience:
- Capable of creating written and visual content for use on multiple platforms, e.g. social media, web content, campus digital signage, etc.
- Experience in managing social media accounts in professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in either writing/editing or social media management, or equivalent combination of education and experiencepreferably in a higher education setting.
- Basic familiarity with HTML or previous exposure to WYSIWYG web editors.
- Basic understanding of good design and photography basicscomposition, balance, use of font and graphics, white space, color, etc. Professional experience, student experience, or design classwork encouraged (links to samples are welcome).
- Grasp of video production basicsboth creative and technical needswhether in a personal or professional setting (please provide links to your work).
- Understanding of graphic design principles and ability to implement.
